About Christina
Hello there! My name is Christina and I’m a 28 year old from Southern California. I was born and raised in SoCal and in 2008, I moved up to NorCal with my mom and dad. In April of 2014, my dad passed away and in August of 2015, my mom passed away. I quickly decided to return home and came back to Southern California. I have my degree in Early Childhood Development but I’m planning on going back to school for nursing in the near future. I’ve been blogging on and off for about 10 years now and excited to share this one with you all.
I always thought that I’d be single forever so in early 2016, I started the process of getting certified to become a foster parent with the goal of adopting. I always wanted children and decided to go that route since I had no special someone in my life. Well all that changed when Sean came out to see me on April 15, 2016.
About Sean
Salutations! I’m Sean and I am not a fan of writing about myself but Christina says this is tough for most people so I’ll tough it out. Let’s see…I’m a 30 year old no matter how hard I fight it. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. I am currently watching Christina perform what I can only imagine is a hula dance or mating ritual… And she’s done. I stayed in Chicago for school and graduated with a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting. Since I’ve always had an underlying passion for teaching and because I come from a family of teachers I’ll be heading back to school for a degree in Education.
I am the youngest of six and because of that I have many nieces and nephews. I’ve been around children for as long as I can remember. Though I always got along with babies and children, I never put much consideration into having my own until Christina.
About Us
Sean and Christina met on an AOL chatroom back in 1999/2000. We kept in contact throughout the years and remained friends via the internet, texts, and phone calls. We ended up getting in contact again in early 2016 and by April, we decided that it was time to finally meet in person. Sean flew out here from Chicago and the rest is history.
We knew that we wanted to be together and planned on him moving out to California but that ended up happening faster than both of us imagined when we found out we were expecting! However, in July we miscarried. We are both looking forward to trying again and can’t wait to share and document this journey with you all!
On July 29, 2016, Sean proposed to Christina and now we are engaged to be married and we plan to incorporate that into this blog as well. We hope you enjoy Road To Parenthood and come back to visit.
